The binder itself is excellent. I got it to put cd's into a 3-ring binder, using poly sleeves, 4 to a page. It is about 2 inches too narrow for that; otherwise, okay.

I bought these to hold the knitting and crochet patterns I have placed into heavyweight sheet protectors. The extra wide design is exactly what I wanted for this. Combined with wide dividers, I have all I need to organize what seems to be millions of instruction sheets.

I've bought several of these and use them for copies of the family cookbook that started as a Christmas project a couple years ago and now is a Christmas tradition, with extra pages added every year.The clear pockets on the cover allow you to customize (I use photos) and the capability to fold back the front makes them easy to use.Well made and sturdy. Recommended.

It was about time someone invented a better three ring binder. Since I have to do the paperwork and file the information I do not feel like running away. These binders are so nice to handle, open, close, and the material inside moves as it should. Great idea.

I have been using these binders for quite a number of years. They get very hard use, but still hold up to the abuse they are given. The contents are always in sleeves (sheet protectors) so the extra width is great.

I love the Avery extra-wide binders for all my business & home projects, because I can use insertable tabbed index dividers (meaning, I can insert an 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of paper) and the extra width of the binder protects those tabs, which would otherwise stick out beyond the edges of a regular binder. One of my Avery extra-wide binders gets nearly daily use, and after 9 years it finally split. I was so impressed with how long it lasted & what a great workhorse it was for me, I didn't hesitate to replace it with another Avery extra-wide. When this one arrived last month, I discovered they improved the design of the binder mechanism, so it's even easier to open & close. Very pleased.

I would give this five stars but the first one I received was torn at the bottom of the front cover joint to the spine. I need an oversize binder so I can put paper recipes in plastic sleeves. I use the sleeves that hold the entire paper without punching holes in it. These plastic pockets are wider than the others so I then have to use oversized dividers which require an oversize binder - whew! I like the construction and the interior pockets. If it holds up, it will be perfect!
