Purchased this to connect to a new receiver that did not have phono plug connections Easy to install; liked that unit had a screw connection for the ground wire which made it easy to connect and no annoying on LED light on the unit. Allows me to play my old vinyl records with the new receiver which out sacrificing sound quality. Great product!

I have a newer turntable which sounds great through my crappy stereo, but the audio output is so low that I have to almost turn my stereo volume up to full to hear it at a reasonable volume. I figured I'd order a preamp to be able to turn the volume down so it wouldn't be a shock to my ears when going to a different source such as radio or compact disc. This preamp is definitely not the answer for me. The audio is now so distorted as to be unrecognizable. It looks like I'm going back to my lower volume input. What a disappointment.

I’m new to vinyl and I bought a turntable, preamp, and speakers all in one night and none of which had a volume control (my fault, I should have read the descriptions better) so I ended up getting a different preamp because that was cheaper than getting a different turntable or speakers with volume control. I sold this to my buddy, for what I had in it, to hook up to his turntable which has a volume adjustment. He said heloves it, it works well for him and his set up. He said for the money he didn’t think you could go wrong and he would recommend

This amplifier is good for anyone in need of a cheap phono preamp. Please note however that it is just that - cheap. I found the preamp to have a slight hum with my system, and that bass was lacking, and there didn't seem to be much clear stereo separation. I ended up returning this preamp and getting the ART DJ Pre II which is a much better product. For anyone with lower-quality speakers, like using a soundbar with their turntable, this preamp should work fine. For anyone with more musical speakers, like Monitor Audio Radius and a good turntable (like U-Turn Orbit or Pro-Ject), I'd recommend going with the ART to get the most out of your components.

Product does exactly what I needed it to do. To act as a preamp for my Technics turntable and convert the phono signal to line level since my new receiver did not have phono inputs. Small, compact, couldn’t be happier.

It's easy to set up, and works beautifully with my turntable. The sonic range is impressive. It's also small enough to tuck away behind the turntable.

What a deal! This thing acquits itself admirably against my $2000 Manley Chinook with vintage Mazda France 6922 tubes. A great backup for troubleshooting, turntable setup or any budget system
