PRIMA SOFT revolutionized the dance world in 1992 with the invention of the WORLD'S FIRST CONVERTIBLE TIGHT. A design so unique, a patent was granted by the United States government, patent office. (Patent #6,047,571). Prima Soft convertible tights have become one of best selling, best fitting tights in the United States, and worldwide.
In 1996 Prima Soft introduced their Pointe Shoes, designed with the highest technology available. "HI TECH" does not necessitate using artificial materials. Prima Soft pointe shoes are made of natural materials and no plastic, fiber- glass or rubber is used in the shoe construction. Using natural materials allow the shoes to work with, not against the dancers feet. The shoes are made on a new, innovative last that allows the dancer's toes to go directly straight down into the toe box, thus preventing the toes from settling into the upper part of the pointe shoe vamp. Toes are correctly placed in the "perfect placement toe box" giving the dancer a connection with the floor. This greatly enhances balance and placement. The shanks of Prima Soft shoes are graduated, permitting the shoes to mold naturally to the arches and offers a customized fit from the first wear. In 2005 and 2006 Prima Soft introduced Extension Stretch Ribbon (Patent Pending) and the Pointe Perfect Toe Pads. (Patent Pending)
