Designed to provide your group fitness classes a bar and plate set that is superior in quality and versatility. The plate design features a unique beveled edge with designated grip locations that form a polygon design. The beveled edge keeps the weighted barbell from rolling away while not in use. The grip locations allow you to use the plates as free weights or to customize the weight of your barbell. The inner stainless steel ring increases the overall durability of the plates while allowing for quick and easy transitions on and off the bar. One set features six durable urethane plates (pair of 2.5, 5 and 10 lbs.), a 51 inch powder-coated steel 5 lb. bar, and a pair of 1.25" spring collars. Sold as individual components, one set and class sets. .

I wanted something for a home gym and this was exactly what I wanted. Perfect size, plates are not bulky and can easily put away without taking up a lot of room.

I bought this set for LesMills BodyPump because I just could not stomach the SmartBar price. The set works very well for all the barbell work. I don't think it is as good as the LesMills system for the plate work. The grips are not directly across from each other - making some of the handholds odd. This has not been a big deal for me because I use the dumbells I already had for this. However, if you don't have dumbells, know that you may need to purchase those separately or spring for the SmartBar.

Purchased this for Les Mills Bodypump, even a better quality than the ones from LM equipment. Purchased additional weighs after the initial set. Highly recommend.
