This arrived well packed. It required minimal assembly.......put the tube between the 2 parts. Motor is quiet and even. The filter is easy to break down for pad cleaning. I am very happy with this quiet device and am starting to trust this to keep running.

I have had several of these filter sets. Most lasted over 10 years. I unscrew the bottom of the filter and fill it with lava rock so that it sits on the bottom of the pond when the filter media is saturated. They do the job and only need cleaning once a week and occasional replacement with new filters.

This pump is very strong for my pond. does the job. I can't continue to rate these things. It is sufficient to state a few precise words, but the form requires more.

I think it would work a lot better for me if I could figure out how to get all the muck out of my pond first. This worked like a champ for the first week then the muck in my pond got to it. Ponds are a lot of work!

Attractive fountain in my pond that works well and is very easy to set up. I do have to put a weight over the filter to keep it from ating (not a big deal). Also the filter pads need to be changed pretty frequently but this shows that the product works.

Filter cleaned up the pond pretty quick. Only issues I have the pump will float on you and you have to put rocks on it to keep it on the bottom. Also keep in mind your pond layout. Will this filter be easy to get to, since you have to pull the whole thing out every week or two to clean. If I were to do it again,I would out the extra time and money into and external filter system.

This filter does a very good job of removing dirt from our 220 gallon backyard pond. The filter came with two filter pads, one of them is very thin and has activated carbon in it. I don't bother using that one and just rinse the more coarse filter pad out and reuse it, and my fish do not seem to mind. I do wish this filter came with fittings so I could attach a hose and run a little waterfall. I know if I tried hard enough I could figure out a way, but it seems pretty basic to me to include an adapter of some sort for a standard filter hose and yet the company did not.All in all, a good investment.

I have been using the Pondmaster 500gph since Aug 10, 2011. It certainly does a good job of filtering out "stuff" in my 400 gallon pond and my water is clear. It's easy to clean. It did tend to float so we put a piece of slate in the bottom of filter box as suggested (unscrew 4 screws & put in slate). This extra weight keeps the filter from floating. I am not using the fountain because I bought tubing and connected tubing to an old fashioned handpump so I can have a water fall. I am located in central NC. bkm 9.5.11
