These children's chef hats were easy to wear and has elastic along the back to keep it from slipping on their face. It is a nice quality cotton material and dark black. For sizing (when looking at photo attached to this review), left to right on kids: size medium (perfect fit), size large (too snug, she has a larger head), size medium (had to safety pin the back because he is smaller and it kept sliding down, last child wore a medium (perfect fit).
