this was a "blind" buy from a perfume website an I was excited to get it since i adore the smell of roses so much. however when I applied this I got the smell of what i can only describe as a used bookstore, a bit musty n dusty. Not necessarily bad really but far from what I expected. I do love the smell of an old bookstore but i dont want to smell like one. And i dont mean that to sound rude at all. So I gave the perfume to my neighbor without mentioning how it smelled on me and she had about the same reaction : she thought it smelled like a dusty house that had been closed up for awhile. Maybe this was a bad batch, maybe it was just old - or maybe she and i have odd body chemistry. Whatever the case, this was a swing and a miss for us.

No thank you, too much roses. In fact, thats it, just roses. No base notes, middle notes, nothing to balance or play with the rose scent. Lovely, but just not for me.

Sort of smells like rose scent in a restroom. The air freshener for a bathroom. Won't buy again

This is a cult-classic, unbelievably affordable synthetic rose scent that every perfume-curious person should check out, and I'm glad that I did. That being said, WHOA, is it strong & synthetic: full-on Rose, Rose, & more Rose. For me, this is not a natural, straight-from-the-garden smelling rose, but rather a hot-house rose straight from the florist's shop. I will not be wearing this as a perfume (or purchasing again) as it gives me a headache. I plan to use up the bottle as a fragrance spray for linens and periodically around the house as a room freshener (moderately!).
