Hubby seems to love these gloves for any job he needs slip on gloves anymore. The quality has been withstanding his everyday full use of any and everything very nicely. He likes that they aren't overly bulky but do provide him some protection in the small welding jobs when working on the racecar and other projects at home. Blue was a nice selling point in them also not that he is much worried about the look more than function. As I already mentioned the function is definitely multi any and everything. Fleece lining not only has made for a easy on and off but a nice bit of warmth in the colder weather. Definitely a quick and affordable go to.

For the money, these can't be beat! They're thick, a little clumsy, excellent for what most people use as 'stick welding', not quite as dextrous for things like TIG - but that's to be expected. These are good, solid, thick and heavy duty. Highly recommended, ESPECIALLY at their price point!

Before I start with the review let me just say that I’m still in high school and am learning to weld in classes there, that being said I really love these gloves and prefer them over the millers the school provides. However, they are thinner than the millers we have, so they work great for 1f, or 2f stick welding and mig, definitely a little thick for tig, but due to the thickness you can definitely feel dripping slag when doing vertical or overhead welding. All that being in big said I do recommend them and I really love these gloves, I’ve had them for a few months and they are holding up amazingly.

While I have just got back into welding after many years, added these to collection of gear needed. For now, I have been using them for couple common other tasks. They work perfect for smelting lead ingots and working molds. Also grab them at times when working the smoker. Comfortable and keeps the hands from getting hot or worse.

As a non-welder who likes to use welding gloves for other purposes, I thought all such gloves would be just as heat-resistant as my last pair. I was wrong. The Caiman Premium Split Cowhide MIG/Stick Welding Gloves (blue/black, large) are only somewhat heat-resistant. The gloves lack features such as reinforced kevlar padding and a fire/heat protective layer. So while they can withstand coming into brief contact with sparks and burning hot metal, they are not an oven or fireproof mitt alternative. These gloves also run small. The large size fits more like a medium glove. These gloves are described as having "unparalleled fit and dexterity," but I found them to be as stiff and tiring to use as other welding gloves. The leather and stitching look fairly durable though, and I plan on using them for handling thorny and rough branches in my yard.

Firstly I really like these gloves they have really good thermal protection and coverage as the cuffs are deep as they should be, helping to protect when welding. But also keep in mind if you're throwing a lot of slag you may want to run your shirt sleeves over them to keep the risk of slag from getting in. They have a pretty warm lining in the hand portion maybe a little too warm for the summer but they are awesome during the colder months. The construction of these is very good and they are stitched with Kevlar fiber for durability. They also included a carabiner to clip them together and hang them so you can keep things organized which I appreciate. Overall they are really nice gloves that fit well and are comfortable plus if you work in a colder shop or environment I would highly recommend them, but they could be a little too hot during the summer.

These welding gloves somehow feel a bit thinner than my normal MIG gloves (of the same length), but they're actually slightly heavier at 5.2 oz vs 5.0 oz each. I believe the difference is, these Caiman gloves are much beefier in the palm and fingers. That means, a) they're a lot less flexible for gripping stuff (but offer more protection for stupidly picking up something scalding hot), and b) they have comparatively less protection elsewhere. For example, they lack a doubled up drag patch leather reinforcement above the pinkie. Also, they let significantly more heat through the knuckle area when your support hand is close to the work space. The lack of flexibility and dexterity, owing to the needlessly thick palm, makes them no good for plasma cutter work and quickly fatiguing for gripping the welding torch. All in all, not a great design. I've never been one to hang up my gloves, but for those who do, the branded carabiner clip is a classy touch.

These gloves are functional and stylish too. They are quality leather and great stitching that protects your hands and arms while welding.

Got these for my son. He loves them! Haven't had them long enough to know how they hold up, but so far they're great.

These gloves are tough but comfortable. The cowhide seems durable and the lining keeps out the heat without feeling too bulky. They fit me well and have been holding up while I use them for my wood burning stove. Definitely seems like a solid pair of gloves.
