They do eventually wear out, mostly at he point of the attachment between the big tow and the 4 other toes, but when it breaks it's generally because of something I did. These can be tossed in the washer and they come out looking good as new.

I had originally gotten a pair of this brand of sandals at a Target store several years ago. They were PERFECT. Fit great, wore well, lots of support and lasted forever. Bought two more pairs over the past year. The first pair I got two totally different shoes. Same color, but different design and fit. Third pair seems to stretch out really badly and I tend to walk out of them. Sadly, I don't think I'll bother again as they are too inconsistent.
