The NM3P is a male 1/4" stereo (TRS) module with M17 inner threads. This line of adapter modules is based on Neutrik's very popular X Series and D Series connectors, both widely recognized as industry standard. Typical applications may include adapting 1/4" to RCA, with the NMPMM male RCA module and a VM coupler; or a switched inline 1/4" to XLR adapter, using the NM3MXI, SM2/2, and KMX or KM couplers.
XLR, RCA, and 1/4" modules are available in male and female, as well as various couplers and even a cable end module with Neutrik's chuck-type strain relief. Wiring and soldering is required. All Neutrik modules meet the IEC 68-2-20 standard for solderability, and are constructed with the same rugged reliability you've come to expect from Neutrik.

I ordered this together with the matching cable shroud ( Neutrik CM Cable End Module Adapter Housing w/Chuck Type Strain Relief . These are top-quality fittings, part of an extensive modular parts system. However, although apparent from the product photos, I failed to notice that both of these parts have M17x1 inside threads - naturally they can't be connected to each other. Instead, the mating element model VMnbsp; Neutrik VM Metallized Plastic Connection Module nbsp;with two outside threads is required to intercede.
