I've been working on ceiling cove that was installed improperly so the joint shows. Two contractors worked on it and failed. This item, because it is flexible, fits the curve of the cove perfectly. I figure after about 20 sessions I'll have everything sanded to the point it matches. Not so simple with rigid sad blocks.

Works great for sanding clearcoat when doing auto body. I will probably use it in Woodworking too for sanding roundovers.

I guess I fell for the hype. It seemed this was the trick I needed for perfect level sanding on wood instrument fine finishing. It is just two layers of fairly dense foam glued together and some brand markings printed on them. The edges started cracking off the first time I used it with wet, fine grain grit sand paper. If you can, use the pink school eraser. That works better overall. This is not worth the money.

Context:Wet and dry sanding on 2005 Dodge Ram fender. There is barely a flat surface on it.Pro:It did not soak up water when wet sanding.Paper did not bind or slip off of the block (no adhesives used)Thin enough to feel contours but thick enough to hold a consistent sanding surface.Cons:None really. Just be sure you know what it is for.Maybe a little thin.......Maybe not.Notes:This is better described as a contour block. It is working great in the contours of the fender I am working on but a thicker block would probably do just as well and be more comfortable for the amount of sanding I am doing. They have a couple of Big Block options I plan on getting before moving on to the next body panel.
