Put this on what started out as a cheap ($120 new) red metal flake Squire. I've completely redone everything in an attempt to have a better playing/sounding/feeling guitar and to get the Custom Shop heavy relic vibe. I'm no John Cruz but it's close. Topped it off with this pricey little bit of icing. I believe it was worth every penny. I love the lack of bevel, and the low reflectance. This was an 8 hole body but the 5 hole lined up with no mods.

This is the vintage plastic, usually called Bakelite, that came on the early black-guard Telecasters. Just an awesome Pure Vintage part made available by Fender. Their Pure Vintage parts are made on the same machines as their old ones were. And this pickguard is made of that same material. I believe it's actually phenolic resin, but everyone calls it Bakelite. It's more of a satin/ flat plastic, not shiny. it's a little more brittle than modern pickguards.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!

Hard to relic plastic but this seems to relic itself with semi regular use. I have this on a 52 blackguard build. didnt think i'd leave a review on a 1ply pickguard but maybe this review will help those who are trying to age plastic...sweat on it for a couple passes and leave it alone for a couple weeks

If you want a classic 50s tele look it would be very difficult to find a better option. The colour is right. Not blueish refrigerator white neither artificially aged creamy. Right thickness and shape.I’m very happy with my purchase!!!

This fit right perfectly on my Classic Player Baja (from 2016). It’s very solid and sits flush against the guitar body. It’s more of a matte finish instead of the glossy, flimsy pick guard that came on the guitar

This the real deal for vintage 50s tele guards... Heavyweight, thick and looks sort of low gloss, almost matte. Good stuff if you want vintage!

It was an exact replacement for the original pick guard. Pricy for a pick of plastic but original.
