The pump was difficult to operate, and the fluid reservoir had poor capacity, making it frustrating to use for brake bleeding and other tasks. The overall build quality felt cheap, impacting performance and reliability.

It often fails to hold pressure and is difficult to use effectively.

The cotter pin broke at the piston under light use in under 6 months.

The pump pin broke the first time I used it and then the handle fell off. Happened at the worst time, right in the middle of a job.

I replaced the master cylinder on my first gen ram, so I need to pull fluid from the master all the way back to each brake caliper, (disc brake conversion in the rear). This MV8500 simply could not pull enough vacuum to get fluid to the rear. So this tool might be ok if you are only doing small jobs like replacing a caliper or the small rubber hose from the caliper to the vehicle. To get fluid to the rear I took a rubber stopper that fits inside the master cylinder fill, I put a hose barb on the stopper and hooked an air regulator up to it from my air compressor, gave it about 10-15 psi and that pushed fluid from the master cylinder to the rear calipers, took 5 minutes at most, what I had been trying to do for two hours with the MV8500. This tool is for small jobs only in my case.

This does not work at all. It falls apart when you try to pump it due to the very poor way the handle is hooked to the piston. The hardware set included is extremely cheap. I tried to use this, fought with it for hours, and then just went and bled my brakes the normal way in 30 minutes. Do not buy, this is cheap Chinese trash.

Bought this to use for brake jobs on my car. It does not hold pressure when using as a vacuum and air somehow leaks into the plastic tube. I have tried every fitting that the kit comes with and nothing helps. I have even bought my own tubing with a slightly smaller inner diameter and that doesn’t help either. This tool is essentially useless to me now.
