I have pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain/ symphasis pubis dysfunction/ SI joint dysfunction, whatever you call it, it's very painful and nothing is going to make that pain go away besides having the baby. I did not expect to buy a support belt and have it be completely comfortable and take all the pain away. I purchased other maternity support belts (2 different styles) and they made me even more uncomfortable. This is sturdy and easier than some of the other belts to get some actual pressure where you need it, on your hip bones, to help stabalize your pelvis. It makes going up a flight of stairs possible. Not comfortable, mind you, but possible. I have noticed an improvement on the days I remember to wear this throughout the day. Some days I will get changed after work and forget to put it back on. Those days I have more pain and feel like I'm not able to do as much.I'm 5'1'' and medium build with a large bump and the S/M size fits with room to spare. This belt doesn't interfere with the bump and make it feel like I'm squishing baby or cutting off circulation to my legs when I sit down. If it feels like you're being kicked in the groin with every step you take, or you hear a clicking noise coming from the base of your spine when you walk... This is the belt you need. The wider maternity belts made to lift up your bump will not work for that. They will also be very uncomfortable for you if you are short like me.

When I was 9 weeks pregnant I started having what they thought was sciatica pain. After some more careful thought my doctor and I decided that my symptoms better fit that of PGP (pelvic girdle pain). I did a bunch of research on support belts and came across this one. After reading the other reviews I was very hopeful and did next day shipping ( I was in so much pain, I had to pay extra- I couldn't walk, sleep, go to the bathroom, sit, etc) Within minutes of having this belt on I could walk with minimal pain. By the next day the pain was even better, although it still hurt to sit up straight for more than 5 minutes. By the end of the first week I was in virtually no pain at all. By the end of the first month ( I wore the belt 24 hours a day, the only exception being when I showered) I was in NO PAIN! I still have to sleep on my back, if I lay on my side the pain returns but goes away once I go back to my back and let my pelvis realign. I also still can't sit up straight for long periods of time as it is also painful but I can sit back at a slight angle with no pain. If you are on the fence, buy this product, it is worth every penny.

When I am pregnant, my hips shift in and out all the time, and it got to the point that I couldn't walk without a cane (and I'm only 30). I bought the small/medium Si-Loc Maternity support, and I have been wearing it non-stop for about 4 days. Suddenly I can walk, I can sit, I can move around, and I can sleep without pain. I thought I was going to have to be in intense pain for the rest of my pregnancy, but the support belt completely saved me. I was going to the chiropractor 2 times a week to get my hips put back in place, but I haven't even had to go since I got the belt.I have seen some complaints about the bulkiness of the belt. I haven't been bothered by it at all. In fact, you can't even see the outline of the belt in 98% of my clothing because it is worn so low. I can still wear all of the same clothing.I absolutely recommend this product to women having the same hip issues in their pregnancies.

I'm 27 weeks pregnant with bad SPD, as a medical assistant working shifts 8:30-7:30 and walking around all day this was a must. I read some reviews that it made no difference, some that it really helped. At that point I wanted to try anything. I was in so much pain walking around. I got this belt and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Right away. I highly recommend this belt for pregnant women with SPD.

I'm a pretty serious runner but I struggled with severe SI pain with my first pregnancy. I ran until the day I gave birth but had to take 6 weeks completely off (walking was a challenge) mid-pregnancy and ran with considerable discomfort during other phases of the pregnancy. When I was pregnant with our second baby, I bought this belt as soon as I began to feel the SI pain. Once it came in the mail, I wore the SI LOC every time I ran (daily) and was able to run pain free throughout the rest of the pregnancy! Highly recommend it!!! Another small note for prego runners with SI pain - walking/running up stairs increases SI inflammation!

Quite Comfortable when standing up. I have been diagnosed with Pubic Symphisis Dysfunction and this helps. This belt really helps give me the support I need during pregnancy. I bought the Large/Extra Large and was a pre-pregnancy size of 22 - 24. Fits with extra length. When sitting down if you have it pretty tight around your hips it is a bit uncomfortable on the baby belly. However, I usually wear it out shopping when I know I will be on my feet for long periods of time. When back in the car I'll just loosen it a bit.I have Sciatic pain quite often and I noticed a big relief. I felt like I am pulled in comfortably and very supported.I owned the SI LOC non-maternity belt before buying this one and loved that one as well. However, the non maternity belt would not work for a pregnancy belly.I would recommend this to anyone with pubic pain in the groin extending into the inner thighs. Also great for Sciatic pain.

I measured myself according to directions and item was still WAY too large, however, I called them and told them that I ordered the wrong size. They credited my card back, but only after I paid for the correct size first, received it, received the exchange form via email, sent it back and then, I got my money back. Would not have gotten money back if I didn't buy new one. And I know that if I had mentioned that I opened the package and tried it on (over my clean clothes) that they would not have accepted it back as an exchange and I would have completely lost $40. As it was I felt slightly uncomfortable leaving that part out, but I knew I didn't get it dirty and I really needed the right size. All that said, this is my second pregnancy suffering terribly with sacro-illiitis (a form of arthritis very specific to the sacro illiac joints). I can not walk or sleep without wearing this and both pregnancies were made bearable by the support provided by this brace.

I'm a bartender and bought this pregnancy brace after my chiropractor recommended it, as I had started experiencing very bad lower back pain early in my pregnancy. I highly recommend it to anyone who is experiencing the same type of back pain. Though it didn't make the back pain go away (nothing did that, unfortunately) if I forgot to wear it to work I basically couldn't walk after my shift, so it definitely kept me functioning! It is a little tricky to find the right placement, and I would occasionally have to take a break to move it lower. The trick is that it needs to be just above your butt crack, and pulled fairly tight (this is where your sacroiliac joints are, which loosen up during pregnancy. the brace basically holds them together). I had my chiropractor help me find the correct placement. The cons of the brace are that it tends to pinch your sides a little, which didn't bother me TOO much while I was working and that it kind-of makes your butt look squished down. It also got a little frustrating sometimes having to be strapped into it, and on one or two occasions I took it off in the middle of my shift because i just wanted to "feel free." I regretted taking it off at the end of my shift though, so those cons are something I'm willing to deal with to be able to function like a normal human being! I didn't try any other maternity braces, and bought this one on the recommendation of my chiropractor so I don't have anything to compare it to. Since its non-refundable I'm hoping this review will help other people with their choices!

This version of he SI-Loc belt is more comfortable in the front than the standard one. Both help with the back SI pain. The Maternity version has 2 separate pieces which makes it a little more cumbersome to put on. It is a little more giving (elastic) than the standard one, too. It recommended putting it on over underware, which probably would be even more comfortable, but then you have to re-do it each time you use the bath room. I use it under my underware like the original SI belt. Also, the front pad tends to show through clothing.
