Tastes Great!

For years, I've bought the Maesri pastes in effort to replicate delicious curries in Thai restaurants; I've not succeed; ergo, I tried the Maesri soups (red and green), and they are fantastic! So delicious! As good as, or even better than, what you'd get in a restaurant! Red curry is the better value for the money, coming in at less than $3 a can, whereas the green is $5 a can, but alas, I get them both! I'm tired of experimenting; I just want a delicious curry that works! I add tofu, vegetables, and a side of brown rice. They've a lot of soybean oil in them; relatives are concerned oils contribute to heart disease. I'm making the trade off for now; it's worth the risk!

My husband and I love Thai cuisine, so I was skeptical of soup out of a can, but it was surprisingly delicious. I added a little bit of chicken and bell pepper. I thought it was as good as what we get in a restaurant!

This soup is DELICIOUS.I'm an avid connoisseur of Thai food. I've eaten at countless restaurants over the years. I live in a small town and the closest Thai restaurant is over an hour away, so I only get to indulge when we travel or if I have an appt in a big city. I have been working on learning to make various dishes that are my favorite, but it's not easy!I saw this soup and was intrigued. It's a little expensive, but it's absolutely worth it once you taste one spoonful. The equivalent finished product from a restaurant runs $13.I decided to take a chance and ordered a case. I was SUPER nervous, because that's a LOT of soup. This ended up being one of the best chances I've ever taken! This soup is absolutely restaurant quality. I cannot believe it comes out of a can. I add whatever fresh veggies I'm craving, sometimes a protein, simmer for 20 minutes and have restaurant-quality deliciousness without the 90 minute drive. This soup has just the right amount of heat, enough to make my nose run. And? I can always add ingredients to increase the heat if I want the 4 I love every now then.My oldest daughter was here a couple weeks ago and I whipped up a batch of MaeSri Green Curry soup. I added fresh carrots, cabbage, green beans and mushrooms. She couldn't believe it wasn't from a restaurant! This soup is absolutely delicious.

These have been great for a single person like myself. Add a little rotisserie chicken and some jasmine rice and you have a complete meal. The soup is spicier (at least to me) but fits in with what I would consider a really great green Currie.

This is really hard to find in any of the local Asian grocery stores. This has the best flavor. I was beginning to miss this flavor. I like adding pork chunks.
