Fits the Lodge 12 in skillet perfectly, makes it even more versatile. Love how this design is solid cast iron, with nothing on the handle, so you can put it in the oven just like your skillet. I had my skillet for 20 years before I decided to invest in a purpose-built lid with basting tips, I can't believe I waited so long, it is such a game changer!

Somehow I've been finding recipes that call for a cast iron skillet. I have one, but rarely used it because I didn't like cleaning it. Well, I have gotten used to cleaning it so now I use it more often. Some recipes call for you to put a lid on the skillet and put it in the oven. I was using aluminum foil which is wasteful and doesn't really do the job. Ordered this lid and I'm good to go. Probably should get one for my daughters for their own Lodge skillet.

Very happy with the quality of this lid. I bought this for outdoor cooking on the eco zoom stove. Lid wil trap heat making cook time 25-30 more quicker and less fuel, while keeping bugs and crap out of my food.Will buy more lodge items. Most Likely a dutch oven. Well made stuff that last.

Cannot believe how well this product works as advertised. When cooking on stove top, no boil overs and meats stay nice and moist by the self basting bumps on the underside. In the oven baking, it works just as well.

Gave as a gift and inside the lid there was slight rusting. My husband seasoned the lid and pan several times and almost every time after using. He is very careful with cleaning he loves his new cast iron skillet and he likes that the lid is cast iron as well.
