While the hammer handle I selected had the overall correct dimensions for attaching the head and even stated it was oval - it wasnt. It was really just a rounded corner rectangle requiring some extra preparation to get the proper shape. An easy fix that just cost me time. There than that the handle is great.

I used this to re-handle a 2lb sledge. I wanted a little longer than original and this fit the bill. After some minor sanding for fitment, I drove the included wedge home and have been enjoying my new hammer ever since!

By all measurements and specs this handle SHOULD have fit the old head. But, it really needed to be sanded first in order to seat. The head wouldn't seat well next to the un-tapered portion of the handle Whacking the handle to get the seat better just ended up splintering off a chunk. So, clearly the taper or neck size of the handle didn't match.So, just a heads up... if the dry fit doesn't look like its going to work, don't force it. Watch some videos first so you know what a proper fit is and sand down the taper if it won't get a good fit. I was in a rush and thought a little braun would fix it. It didn't. It broke it.

Handle was a little large for the hole in the hammer head. It is a very old hammer head so I can accept that it would need a minor adjustment. Very good handle. Thank you.

This handle is well balanced in my hand andvery sturdy. Bought to replace an older, cracked handle. Have since used it on the ax head on which I am using it. Does the job well.

Put this handle on an 80 year old 3 lb American steel sledge hammer head. This handle is solid and feels good in my hand when striking a cold chisel.

Sturdy and well made handle, it didn't fit the hammer head I have but at least I have a handle in reserve for any future issues.

This handle was easy to install without any modification. When it was complete with the wooden and steel wedges, it was solid as a rock. I could not be happier. No epoxy was needed, as there are no gaps at all.
