Lepai is a fine brand. Have 3 products from them some are 10 years old. The 20amp tripath amp is an overachiever. It performs, and stays cool. Sound quality is surprisingly awesome. This plate amp is powering an 8in. Jbl power series gt. Woofer 100w. In a 12x12x12 box. Sealed. It rocks. Using it on spare t.v for cheap surround sound system. The other channel is full range driving two old Kenwood surround speakers 40w each. Also a quality plate amp at a rediculously low price. Will buy more and make more subs as presents for family. Volume is awesome in a medium to small room. 60w and 30x30w is,nt going to wake the neighbors. Its a cheap alternative to high end plates. Use a better power supply with 19v 4.5a like fosi . Works great. Buy seperate and it,ll pay for itself in the long run. Less nonsence. No buzzing. Clean sound.

Using this as the amp/controller for a 2.1 desktop system and am very happy with it. Here's what you need to know and should be paying attention to:1. The amp takes a DC power input, standard 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel connector, 15-22 volts. The more voltage you feed it, the less hard it has to work to meet rated specs. If you use a 15-volt, 3-amp wall wart power supply, it will work but you won't be impressed. I am using an adjustable DC power supply. I am feeding it 21 volts with 20 amps of available current. It will never draw more than 5 amps at 21 volts and that's exactly the point. More available power up to the 22v maximum is better. I'd consider 19 volts 4 amps the minimum voltage to feed this amp and expect good results.2. The amp is rated at 60w x 1 for the sub and 30w x 2 for the L/R 4 ohms. Emphasis on 4 ohms. Cut those ratings in half for an 8 ohm load. 15 watts for the satellites is plenty, but 30 watts for a sub is not great. I'm using a 4-ohm driver in my subwoofer, so am getting the full 60 watts for the sub. For a desktop or small living room setup, this is plenty of wattage. For reference, I built a Voxel subwoofer and the Overnight Sensations desktop speakers. The setup is way louder than I need it to be for my office/gaming system usage.3. The amp has a fixed 100Hz/6db oct highpass on the L/R speaker outputs. You will not get much bass out of your satellites, but that's the point of this amp. It's meant for smaller, L/R speakers and a sub. If you need a 2-channel full range amp, buy one of those, not this 2.1 channel amp.4. The amp has an adjustable 6db/oct lowpass on the sub output. This makes it very easy to blend the sub with your satellites (your L/R speakers) and it works well.5. The amp has individual level controls for both the sub and the satellites. THIS is the feature missing on many 2.1 amps. This ability to balance the levels of the sub and satellites independent from each other is what makes this 2.1 amp fantastic.6. Low noise floor, small cutout required, fits basically anywhere.I've only been using it for a couple of weeks, so can't speak to the longevity. But, so far, so good. HIGHLY recommended.

I'm using this to power a Dayton Audio DCS165-4 6-1/2 subwoofer in a 0.5 ft^3 box and a set of Dayton Audio B452 bookshelf speakers. Power supply is 19V 6.32A so it's getting 120 watts. It's more than enough for an office setup.

Great small plate amp. Offers plenty of power for a small sub and the versatility to power two satellite speakers as will. The 2.1/ .1 channel option is a great feature for this little amp. All important connections are well labeled on the board so wiring and upgrading should be easy. The only thing missing is a signal sensor for power on/off. You have to manually switch it on/off. Still a great little amp.

when the sub amp on my Sim Racing Rig failed I looked around. Most plate amps where over $100 dollars. This little amp was 1/3 the price. It is also very well made. Once installed in my sub box. The power is clean and it has a pass through for both the right and left channels. Best amp I've bought in years
