Last fall I had a knee fracture and had to wear an expensive brace funded by Medicare for a while. I had already been wearing compression knee sleeves for my arthritis for several years, but they always slid down. After my knee healed, I started looking and found this brace, which is structured like my Medicare one - tightening capability above and below the knee with stabilizers on the sides. I now wear them daily on both knees and they really take a lot of the pain out of that joint. (I do however wear them backwards, so that the hole is over my knee. It feels better not to have any pressure there at all, just above and below.)One caveat: the velcro is not of the best quality and can sometimes be very difficult to pry open when I'm removing the brace, and I'd happily pay a little more for this product if it was made with better velcro.
