Product Description
Use on real tires to connect chains. Each 3 piece set has an 1 1/4" eye bolt 5/8 in dia, a 2 ½" bottom washer and a lock tight nut. All S-hooks and H172 - H173 shackles work with this product. This product should last 2 years in harsh conditions and up to 5 years in optimal conditions. Some conditions may require replacement sooner. Weight is 2 lbs. per set. Tensile Strength 1400 lbs. Sold in sets of three.

To help keep children safe from harm, review installation and maintenance instructions before installing equipment. Our website also has a "Product Testing Information" page. All products are tested for lead, phthalates and tensile strength.
Installation: Our parts are sold as either replacement parts or components of a set, unless you are buying our Metal Frame Set, therefore these parts need to be installed according to the sets installation instructions.
Drill 3 holes spaced evenly in the real tire. Take the nut & washer off and place on the under side of the tire. Put eye bolt through the hole and screw washer and nut in. You will need to use S-hooks or shackles from the chain to the tire eye bolt. Make sure the S-hooks are closed to within .04 to meet ASTM safety standards. All fasteners must be closed according to Figure A1.19. To do this you will need to use our S-hook pliers or a regular pair of channel lock pliers. Close according to Fig A1.19 for Fastening Devices. WARNING: Once the S-hooks have been opened they will have to be replaced to avoid injuries from coming open and/or breaking.
Maintenance: At beginning and end of each play season and once a month during play season, check for sharp edges and/or cracks especially around eye bolts. Check for vandalism. Check for rusty or worn chain. Replace parts if necessary. Check to make sure S-hooks and/or shackles are closed properly. Maintain detailed inspection and maintenance records for public-use playground equipment.
Any damage from vandalism, abuse or misuse VOIDS all warranties.
