This Grade 30 chain is 3/16" thick and 4/O AWG, with a length of 27" and a soft grip measuring 31". The chain features a thick, solid cylinder of plastisol to make it easier to grip and prevent pinched fingers. You can choose from a variety of colors to match your swing set. The chain links are 1" long and the opening is ½" wide. To use this chain, you need to use the H140-H145 5/16" S-hook as shackles won't work. It's important to note that chain purchased from non-playground manufacturers may have weak links and can contain air bubbles, which can compromise the quality and safety of the product.
This chain has a tensile strength of 3100 lbs and should last up to 5 years in optimal conditions, although harsh conditions may require replacement sooner. Please note that this product is sold individually.

This is for children 0 - 12 years old only. Adults should supervise children at all times. Do not allow children to use unsafely. Do not allow it to be used if damaged.

Installation: Our parts are sold as either replacement parts or components of a set, unless you are buying our Metal Frame Set, therefore these parts need to be installed according to the sets installation instructions.
Chain should always be attached using the last link in length of chain. Assembly will depend upon use. Coated section should be used where children are most likely to hold. For instance on a swing assembly. The coated section should be attached to the swing. Close according to Fig A1.19 for Fastening Devices.
Maintenance: Do the following to reduce the chance of serious injuries. At beginning and end of each play season and once a month during play season, check for rusty or worn chain. Carefully check hole around fastener to look for wear. Check for vandalism. Check to see that polymer has not been peeled away from chain resulting in sharp pieces of either chain or coating. Replace parts if necessary. Check to make sure S-hooks and/ or H-shackles are closed properly. Maintain detailed inspection and maintenance records for public-use playground equipment.
Any damage from vandalism, abuse or misuse VOIDS all warranties.
