They brought my tired Blues Jr Tweed Deluxe back to life. They are definitely warm. I play live twice a month now and have a small home studio. These tubes were a perfect replacement. And a faction of the price of Fender OEM.

The amp was barely okay and I thought it was the tubes and that's the first thing I did is swap out for these JJs and I'm so glad I did and all of a sudden the amp has volume again. They sound spectacular.

I've been an amp tech for 25 years. Build custom amps and I know my stuff. These came with no typical apex numbers on the boxes. Ok not all tubes are matched through apex. Put them on my orange tester quickly and got two steps different in current. So I took out the hikok and what do you know. Same results and one is very microphonic. To be fair they are new jj's but in an 18 watt p/p amp with shared bias resistor they need to be closer.

JJ is a good brand. Nowadays, ALL vacuum tubes are made overseas. I try to find prices of around $20. Amplifiers that use these tubes typically have 2 of them. AND, it is recommended that you replace them in pairs.

Thanks to TonalTubes for the unbeatable price on this pair of JJ EL84’s. My Vox AC10 is back up and running better than before. The stock power tubes started “ringing”. It’s was time to swap them out and these new JJ’s did the trick.

Been playing country pickin' music for a long time using a blues Jr. and these JJ tubes are putting it out there! From Ray Flake, Brent Mason, Albert Lee to Pete Anderson, These tubes are dynamic and respond to my string-bending playing style very well. Less struggle with Double stops and alternate picking.
