I know nothing about blankets. I've had my horse for several years and I decided that with her being in her 30s that she might need a blanket. I have only had it on her once so far (over night) and I think she liked it. I felt like it was sliding back and might be choking her a little, but she didn't seem to mind it. It is suppose to be cold the next few nights and I will be putting it on her, so we will see how well it holds up. So far I am pleased with the purchase and think it was a decent price. I would recommend this blanket.

It's a very good value for the money. The outer covering is not the strongest and it doesn't have the most fiber feel inside. But my horses a Freesian and she has a pretty thick coat in the winter and fall so it's fine. For the price if it gets her through The moderately cold periods of fall and winter it was worth the money

Very nice blanket. It fits great and cleans up nicely. I was looking for something to put on my old gelding when the rain/wind kicks up as we don't have much for shelter out here. It is perfect for a fall/spring blanket. It does have some padding to it but probably not enough if your needing something for really cold winters. Updated 1-6-17 Well we have had this blanket on our old guy for the whole winter so far. It has held up great! The material has been easy to keep clean, water slicks right off and he has never has kept him dry, without any sweating issues. Originally I thought this wouldn't be good for super cold winters, but it has been very cold the last couple weeks (in the negative with high winds) and he has been out walking in the pasture. Our other horses has been hiding out in the stalls. We will be buying another for our other gelding.
