This mask was a godsend! I got my donkey at auction and soon realized she had something going on with her eye. Equine vet diagnosed as a deep corneal ulcer that needs to be treated aggressively and her eye needed to kept out of sunlight. I ordered this mask, removed the cup on the side of her good eye and super glued chunky yarn on the inside of the remaining cup after reading reviews on here (thank you!). The vet was AMAZED at her progress at re-check visits and loved the mask. He said he may order some to keep in stock. Best of all, Opal's eye has fully healed!

The only dislike on this is that the stitching around the cups are not too soft, but it was fine for what I needed. It's light and easy to clean.

After my horse was enucleated, this filled the bill almost perfectly. I removed the unneeded cup with an X-Acto (easy!) and had to drill holes in the remaining cup because condensation on the post-op site is a bad thing. It's easy to drill; however, getting the shreds of plastic out of the holes is tricky. Use fingernails and fine sandpaper, then wash.It protected his stitches even on days when he was finally let outside to roll. He looks sporty in it. He's rather vain, so the jaunty white piping on the black hood is a plus. One caveat: it will slip somewhat and become tight if left on for days on end. Swap it out with a fly mask from time to time.I'm ordering one in every color.

Horse has a bad eye infection. The only reason for 4 stars is because he somehow is able to pull it off. I cut out the right eye cup, since the left eye is infected. It is helping to keep his eye protected.

I got this for my paint gelding after an eye surgery, it fit pretty well and kept things from getting in his eye. It’s a very rigid cup so it did rub his face.
