All three pickups measured at 52mm, contrary to them supposedly being staggered. The ohm measurements were off as well: 5.5k, 6.7k, 5.7k.And finally, they didn't mount centered in a couple pickguards I had, all three rubbing against one edge pretty heavily- all without a cover.

These pickups are great, they are easy to install if you have some experience with soldering, the pole spacing is off though I got official fender pickup covers and they did not fit over them, I would buy these again if I have another project.

So I installed these in an IYV Mustang Copy. The originals were very harsh sounding. So I figured I would try these for 20 bucks. These smoothened the tone out and the harshness went away. So far I am pretty happy with these. It's only a $130 guitar so putting a few dollars in it doesn't seem so bad.

Bought for a Squire Affinity but ended up putting them in a very old parts caster and have gigged with it. A very decent product for an amazing price. (Need another set for the Squire)

Hot wound inespensive ALNICO's are pretty common so I was pretty excited to see these supposedly vintage wound pickups. No luck there. These things are 8.6 to 9k. I already have a set like these so these are useless to me.

Great value for the tiny amount they cost. I put them in a Squier Bullet Strat, and they're a big improvement over the stock ceramics. They excell at chime if you're looking for that, they don't have much fatness in the low mids and bass. I roll my tone knobs down to about 4 or 5 and they're more to my liking. I might try a .1uf cap instead of the .047 one I have to see if that tames the brightness better for me. They're pretty hot as well. For the pennys paid, it's hard to complain too much.

Found a Starcaster strat to use as a modding platform and used these pickups. Couldn't exactly see breaking the bank on a $35 thrift store find by using Duncans, Fralins, etc. Those are excellent pickups, just too expensive for this kind of build. I ran across a video on You Tube by Darrell Braun who compared the least expensive Alnico pickups (these) vs the most expensive Seymour Duncans ($1000). All I can say is watch the video with a good set of headphones on. Some reviewers complain about the length of wiring, but there is just enough wire and my guitar didn't have a swimming pool route; they gotta cut cost somewhere. I did not get covers with mine as some have reported, but when you order covers make sure you get the ones for 48, 50, 52 mm pickups otherwise you'll be reordering. These are much better than the stock ceramics I replaced. My guitar player buddy can't believe they're not $200 pickups.

I was shocked at how great these sound. I started out building a parts guitar with the cheapest parts I could find as a fun project. When I fired up the guitar I was amazed. I have another strat with custom shop pickups in it and I'm thinking about selling those to put another set of these in and pocket the change.

Don't expect boutique sound, but they are pretty darn good for what they are and the price is good on these too. I installed them and they sound very good - not great - but very good. Keep in mond I am commparing these to some of the best Strat pickups I have heard in USA strats and custom shop too..... worth the money.

For the price I wasn't expecting much, but these so far have impressed me, and will probably be staying on my strat for awhile. One thing to note, my neck pickup was wound with blue copper, which I find cool, and if all 3 were done with the blue copper I would have loved that, but if that's not your thing, it's something to possibly be aware of.

Noticeable improvement. Not too hot, not too flat.

They are inexpensive, and a massive upgrade from the stock ceramic pickups. You will need purchase covers 48,50,52mm respectively, choose to do a tone bender kits to sound like a tele. Really impressed for $16... I would have no qualms playing this setup on stage.

Two of these pickups are much hotter than the description states. It says they're 5.5k, 5.6k and 5.6k.I measured all mine and here's what I found:48mm neck: 8.05k ohms50mm middle: 5.24k ohms52mm bridge: 8.66k ohmsThose are strange reading for a Strat single coil.

Very nice tone. Super low price. No covers. My old ones fit. Magnet spacing is different on each pickup so check your covers before buying. Bought my second set.

They say if you don't like something change it. I temporarily swapped Fender Squire Ceramic pickups for these, Wow! These just sparkle.we went fom dull and virtually intolerable to something you just want to pickup and play...permanent swap TechnicalI have stock squire mini 500k pots, .033mFd orange cap, fender locking tuners, mim tremolo, bone nutBridge 9.2 middle 8.47 neck 8.96I was going to heat the wax and unwind the coil if I thought it was necessary to balance the coils. It's not necessary they sound great. I may buy another set and see if makes a perceptible difference. Clear plastic bobbins. 48/50/52 Brilliant progressive pole spacing that centers alnico magnet poles with the strings. No covers included. Standard Stock covers, that are all the same size, will not fit. 48/50/52 covers are available in a set and recommended otherwise your coils will bounce around and that's Bad.Hands down one of the best upgrades for my strat for the price. Anyone crying about short leads needs to get a good soldering iron and a lesson on how to use it.Happy

I have been looking for a lower output Alnico Stratocaster pickup for a Nile Rodgers tribute build I am working on. These fill the bill nicely. Leads are a little shorter than I would have liked. Bobbins are clear which is kinda cool, but wasted on my build as they will be under covers. Also, check the pole spacing as not all covers will fit!
