I have owned 3 of these TripLite inverters for over 8 years. They have been in continuous operation all that time. I am using them for a storm safety room, additionally powering my house security system and all the internet network. I have had actual power outages where these units have performed exactly as planned.

We used this product to build a mobile cart for our warehouse team. It works great and saves us a few grands for building a mobile cart in-house.

This device has backed up our sump pump for 10 years and going strong. Never a wet basement, not one time.

So I have had a Cyberpower 1500 UPS for quite a while. Worked ok, replaced the batteries in it once about 3 years ago when it quit working but lately it's longevity even with a 175 watt load was 60 seconds. I researched better ways to keep my networking cabinet/camera set up running when the power went down (Ubiquiti cameras/Wifi/gigabit cable) and landed on this setup.$700 all in with 12v 100ah AGM battery, 750 watt Tripplite charger/inverter and 4 gauge 1 ft and 4 ft power cables and 100 amp resettable beakers.WORKS AMAZING. Pull the power plug and the networking gear doesn't even blink. Just keeps running and with a 100AH battery, it should run a VERY long time at lt; 200 watt draw, and if it doesn't, I'll add another battery in parallel and double my capacity. Super easy to set up too (if you know electronics)

This is a well functioning inverter, however am not too sure the remote has an accurate read out regarding status of batteries. I purchased before our West Coast trip last summer. Rather than going with a unit large enough to power the entire RV, I changed the battery box, and purchased two additional batteries for this unit. Then installed one receptacle powered by this inverter. It is able to power one TV, and my C-pap machine all night, with power left in the AM. It allowed us to go without needing our generator. Power output is only about 110V 60hz, was looking for at least 115V or even 120V off the rip. Everything I needed it for worked so am rather happy with it and its cost compared to converting our entire RV.

This has been a tough go in this inverter. I'm ordering ANOTHER ONE just like it even though I don't want to. This Particular one shorted and smoked after six months of steady use. Now we are on a trip and I have no time to rewire my Class B for a different brand.

No more APS or Cyber power computer back up systems for me. It seems that half the time my computer would overload the UPS and it would shut down anyway. Even if the UPS was rated at 200 or more of my computer's draw. Haven't had one problem since I installed this gem with a 100 AH sealed battery. Was it more than double the price? Yes. Has my computer/NAS box/network switch lost power since I installed it? No. It's worth it!Thinking of getting one for my dish box too. We go through periods of frequent brown outs and...

2nd one of these that I have had. This one lasted less than 90 days. Turned it on, and smoke came out of it and a terrible electronics smell.

I purchased this unit with the intention of adding battery back up capability to my small pump pit. My challenge was that I could not fit a battery back up pump in the same pit as my main sump pump (due to size limitations). At this point, I had two options: I could wait until winter and then cut through the foundation of my basement and dig out the pit to make it wider, install a wider basin along with the battery backup pump, and finish it off with reconfiguring the plumbing - or I could invest in an inverter such as this one and skip all of those extra steps. Option 2 was chosen. This inverter has no trouble handling the demands of a 1/3 HP Liberty sump pump. I coupled this inverter with two 12v deep cycle batteries and the results have been satisfactory. The automatic switching between 120v main power and 12v battery back up works very well, and the intelligent charging keeps the batteries at optimum charge.Overall, I feel the price of the item is fair for the protection it offers, overall quality is good - not getting a wet basement during short to medium duration power outages is worthwhile.
