These are advertised as a student rythm instrument. While I am not qualified to call them professional grade, I certainly find them a serious adult instrument.

To be honest I bought these for my 9 month old daughter that loves to play her dads drums. She really enjoys clapping them together along to the music. I’d rather get her the real deal than some plastic toy. She loves them

fun and inexpensive...good stick sound...kinda a high middle range.. could be used in a band setting...however if thinking latin rythyms,, that takes a bit of learning...

Beautiful sound. Truly melodious. The claves are shorter and stubbier than the picture, but it is very easy to find the sweet spot in order to make the wood sing. Pretty loud too, if you crush it at the sweet spot.

Dont waste your money, these clave are made of soft wood and sound terrible. Buy the LP grenadilla wood clave instead.

They feel unbalanced and a little bit too long. The tone is not as sharp as it should be and I've tried several positions on the claves but it does not resonate extremely well. I was considering sending these back, but I will keep them for the kids. . You get what you pay for.
