This 3/8' square drive female to female socket is very well made. I'm sure it would withstand impact drive and will last a long time.I use this for calibrating my click-type torque wrench with a beam-type torque wrench which is much more reliable but harder to use in confined spaces. Works great for my use case.

Needed one this size for unscrewing old fashion bed bolts (square head). Difficult to find this size without buying a full set. Great price for a single unit, which will be used very very infrequently. So cost was a factor.

I use this for a specific type of work. And the manufacturers of what I work on do not use a standard meaning the clearance between the bolt and housing is different by manufacture.So the thickness of the socket may or may not allow the socket to go onto the bolt head. Other than that the socket works well when it will fit onto the bolt. But it's not my go to because I can't use it ever y time. After buying it I still go to the 7/16' 12 point socket. It works every time

These work really good for tightening beam clamps to I beams with either a ratchet or impact (carefully).
