The 8501 model is the perfect option to upgrade or replace the existing saddles on your Gibson Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge dated after 2000. It will also fit in a TonePros TP6 bridge and any Tune-O-Matic bridges marked PW on the underside. These are the saddles Graphtech loads into our ResoMax NV2 Bridges and bridges with API stamped on the bottom!
They are a drop-in replacement set to make for an easy install.
Please note: engineered for maximum vibration transfer, TUSQ saddles for electric guitars will add rich bell-like highs and big open lows. Switching to TUSQ Tune-O-Matic saddles will add some "spank" to your tone.
String Saver saddles are made with a unique combination of materials made to enhance tone and dramatically reduce string breakage. Each saddle has the String Saver which is impregnated with PTFE, the slipperiest substance on earth.
The PTFE in String Savers eases the grip between the saddle and string, spreading the stress over a greater portion of the string, just enough to drastically reduce string breakage.
Graphtech's patented String Saver Originals are made entirely of the String Saver material and provide a very balanced tone across the spectrum. People who were breaking one or two strings a night have contacted Graphtech after using String Savers and are amazed that they go weeks and months without breaking a string!
