I bought this because I could get it quickly and the price is reasonable. Didn't understand what mild-sweet was describing. You have to REALLY like cinnamon as that is the dominant flavor. Would use for pickling fruit or carrots with a fall flavor.I will keep it in the pantry but have since bought a more traditional spice blend for my English pub onions.

This really works well with anything you want to pickle. You need much less than I would have originally thought. You do need to make sure you get enough of each spice in the mix to get a good flavor combination. I think it's great.

I purchase a lot of different spices from Frontier Co-op, so when I needed this I didn't hesitate. So far I've used it for dill pickles, sweet pickles, and recently beet pickled eggs. The flavor is awesome!!

I put some of this into a couple of tea balls and then into a cast iron tea pot on the stove. WOW, the house smelled like a walk in the woods. Sweet and mildly tangy. Wonderful!

They smell great and add a lot of flavor to dill pickles. I tend to use a large amount (about 3 cups spice to 24 cups liquid) in my pickle brine. I am not sure how strong the flavor would be if you used a smaller amount.
