The curved shape and many fine wires do a superior job of blending soft butter with flour/sugar. Other blenders seem to have much thicker and fewer blades and they are not shaped to work properly against the side of a bowl. However, they do work better with hard butter as they are sturdier. This one came with a handle that was off center and came unscrewed on the first use! I drilled a hole through the center and put in a long bolt as a replacement for the screws. I then wrapped the handle to make it bigger and more comfortable. It now works really well.

I needed to replace my old one and thought this would be the same. Its close, but the handle is much smaller. Unless you have tiny hands, this one is uncomfortable to use.

I got this for quickly squishing and cutting up my cat's shredded canned food. He needs extra moisture added to canned food due to a recurring UTI thing and it looks nasty if I just dump extra water in it. I know, it sounds ridiculous, but I do it anyway. This makes quick work of it and it works great.

I tried the more high tech styles from the bigger name brands and have always come back too this simple wire design. I does a great blending job, is easy to use and clean, handles and maneuvers around a bowl well and doesn't wear out your hand. I have even given these as inexpensive gift and thank yous. Can't improve on a good, basic product that works well.
