It’s water tight so far, and we’ve had record rainfall this week! It’s true to size, but the only issue with it is the neck opening is very big! I have it on the tightest holes and it’s very loose. I’m hoping I can find a way to cinch it up tighter. Otherwise it fits her body well, has kept her warm and dry, and the price was great ????????

In terms of sizing, they run a little big. The size 80 fits perfectly on the stocky draft cross who fits in a Weatherbeta size 81. I hesitated about buying this because it has a center back seam and my experience said that it wouldn't be waterproof. It's now been worn through the winter, rolled in on a regular basis and liberally coated in mud. for most weather, it keeps the horse dry. With 36 hours of heavy rain, the center seam leaked a little. 12 hours of steady wet snow and that center seam leaked. For all average snow and rain the blanket did its job. It's the best fitting blanket I've found for a 16 hand/1600# horse. Even though he rolls in it, the blanket always falls back into place; no need to constantly adjust it. Now I know that, in extreme wet weather, to put a waterproof sheet over it.

I read the two previous reviews and am happy to say I've not had any such experience. I LOVE THIS BLANKET. It's a perfect weight for Southern California cold nights (35-55 degree) and the generous size fits my Clydesdale perfectly (super high withers, short back, long length for long legs)!<br />It's beautifully made - no rips, no tears, no buckle issues (that being said, he is not turned out in this blanket). Everyone comments on how gorgeous my horse looks with his red 'jammies' on, and even after our two recent El Nino downpours, my horse was cozy, warm and dry!! I would buy this blanket again and again - I absolutely love it!

I purchased two of these blankets, they only lasted 2 months before the first sign of construction issues.<br />The first one, girth strap came un-stitched so I had to repair. (luckily, I can do this). The second blanket, came<br />apart on the back seam, which had to be repaired as well. They do run big despite the description. It's really too<br />bad, they are good looking blankets and have kept my horses dry, so far.
