I have begun to portray George Washington for our Historical Society and needed riding boots. I looked around and REALLY did NOT want to pay $150 to $200 or more for boots. I sent for some from a riding supply place and could not get them on my feet (they were made to small, more for women) I sent them back and ordered these Bernard boots and they were cheaper so was doubtful. To my surprise they fit very well and looked great. The only flaw was the side zipper.. George Washington didn't have zippers as far as I know. But they seemed to blend in so who could tell. I was very satisfied with my selection.

i love these boots the look cool they match my period costume perfectly but the were way too small to be a size 13 and a little uncomfortable with the lifted heel if they were a little wider ,longer and a little more room w internal padding they would be perfect

Great price for these boots! Material feels nice, and solid enough to last for at least 3 halloweens. The only problem I had was that the top of the boots were very wide! Other than that, they fit true to size. Putting in a pair of insoles would also be a good idea.

Bought these as part of the Blackbeard outfit and they got some of my biggest compliments of the night. You must put some sort of orthopaedic inserts in them as I did and they are fairly comfortable. Durability is okay, I suspect they will fall apart after five or so wears and decent walks though.

In my opinion these boots are what completed the look for the Lancelot costume. I would recommend getting these instead of using the mock boots which came as part of the package. These boots are not too expensive, look extremely authentic, and in my case fit perfectly. You almost could wear these as part of your everyday wardrobe.

These boots were excellent in recreating the history of pirates. The fit was great, I purchashed the largest size that was made, size 12-13, a man of great size has large calves so these boots rode up great and comfortly zipped up all the way closed. The boots are made of high quality of pleather, but in great construction to made too look like the real thing. The only thing bad about these boots is it needs more padding for the feet, but other then that nothing else. I would recommend using Dr. Scholl's if using these for long periods of time.

i AM A COSTUMER FOR A THEATER GROUP AND PURCHASED THESE BOOT FOR FIDDLER ON THE ROOF THEY LOOK GREAT AND FIT WELL FORALL OF THE MEN INCLUDING ONE WHO WEARS A DOUBLE EE WIDTH NORMALLY. THE GUYS SAY THEY ARE VERY COMFORTABLE AND HAVE HELD UP WELL FOR THE RUNN OF THE SHOW.

These were purchased for my husband to wear with his Prince Phillip costume (Sleeping Beauty). He has wide and tall feet and large calves but these fit him just fine. It took a bit of a push to get his foot in but once it was in he says they are comfortable. They have enough room for his pants leg to fit in the boot comfortably. The quality was as I expected (even a little better). They are obviously not good enough quality for every day wear but are great costume quality.
