I did not realize it had heavy side zippers, but they work well. I got these boots for SCA Heavy Fighting. They are comfortable, and very durable.

Just recieved...Extremely cool looking and very comfy! Fit like a glove. BUT..... I do not believe these are leather! Smell like rubber, looks like rubber, feels like rubber.... must be synthetic type of leather. But 10 out of 10 on the bad-assery scale! Very dissatisfied that they said the were leather and ARE NOT LEATHER! I would Not have been willing to pay $160 for fake leather. Still trying to descide if they are going back?

Excellent Boots! These Pleaser Men's Reaper-30 Buckle Boots are fantastic! The fit is perfect and the look is amazing. The side zipper allows for easy entry into the boot and the buckles are adjustable so you can snug them up where needed. They come up to the bend in my knee and there is room to tuck in jeans so you can show off these gorgeous boots. Great look for goth, anime, or any type of style. I wear mine with skinny jeans and a t-shirt and get a lot of compliments. Love these boots!

These boots are awesome. I purchased them for my fiance to wear with an anime costume or for when we do steampunk. He liked them enough that he's worn them just because. They are well made and look exactly as I had hoped. I would definitely recommend them.

They just came in :D Only a day to get to where I live, which was awesome. Giving it 4 stars as the only thing I am impartial too is the VERY flimsy tongue, that really should be attached to the top of the boot in some way (such as snaps)as it makes it a bit hard to get the boot on and off, particularly when it narrows near the bottom of the ankle. I had to tighten the 2 belts on the bottom so the tongue wouldn't be slipping all over the place down there. I wear a size 10.5 shoe, so i went to a local boot barn to find out what kind of boot size I would need and ended up being 9-9.5 boot size, with my normal socks it fits well, though the top of my big toes rub against the steel plate,,could probably be remedied with a bandage or such beforehand. its really going to go well with the rest of my gear I have ordered :)
