My review is pretty subjective, as I have very little experience with automotive painting and the associated equipment. Hell, that's why I bought this item; it seemed to have a respectable amount of desireable features for a relatively inexpensive cost. I used both guns to paint/clearcoat a new front bumper cover for my Audi S4 and they worked as advertised. I had no problems, as other reviewers have, with the supplied regulator and I found the spray fan and coverage adjustments worked fine. If I were to improve anything, it would be to replace the plastic cup lids with something more stout (aluminum?) and have them screw or latch to the cup instead of just press on. Will my paint job win any beauty contests? Probably not. However, I can't blame the guns.....it's the operator's technique that was suspect. :)

First time sprayer here. I watched tons of youtube videos before i started anything. The one channel that helped me most was 'the gunman.' Since owning this gun, I have upgraded to the Tekna prolite. It doesn't spray as well to the trained eye, but it can still put out glass like finishes if you have the settings dialed in. I wouldn't recommend any air compressor below 9cfm at 40psi. I had to upgrade mines to a 60 gallon which can do 14cfm at 40psi and the gun came to life after giving it more air. The sprays were more consistent and results are still stunningly beautiful. at 65-75 degrees, on the big gun; i have fan knob open all the way, and fluid knob open 3.5 turns out, at 30psi. Having a good prep and testing on test panel helps a lot before you start spraying your project. If you're unsure just watch 'the gunman' a million times and eventually it'll sink in as it did to me. This is a great gun for the price. Good luck!

these guns are pieces of crap. Ive been spraying hvlp for along time so i thought i would splurge and by a nice set for once. The first time i used the big gun the trigger broke on me and I lost the clamp that keeps it together. I should have returned it at that moment but i thought ok its a fluke. I rigged it to work within a week the cup started leaking and it leaked black on on the table i was spraying so i had to let it dry and sand it all sand again. my husky guns lasted 10 times longer than these. I thought because they were Devilbiss they would be ok guns but truly they ended up being by far the worst guns Ive ever had. Im returning them immediatly before i get stuck with them. DONT BUY THESE GUNS if your going to use them often. Find somthing else. My harbor frieght guns lasted longer than these..

Bought this kit and couldnt even get either gun to work properly, total rip off. Put paint in the guns, made 1 stroke and both of them clogged up and would not spray. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP.

Works very well, a little upset with the hole in the lid which if paint clogs it your paint will start spraying uneven and splotchy easy fix but a little inconvenient but very happy with this purchase.

I usually love DeVilbiss spray guns, but these are absolute crap. I originally bought this set and then purchased an additional mini jet and they ruin all my projects (I'm a professional airbrush artist). They're very difficult to clean and they spray unevenly. I will use Tekna from now on. This cheap stuff is for the birds.

Currently spraying my 78 trans am in a non professional booth and it is great. Applied base coat with Harbour Freight gun and clear with the big one in the set and perfect finish.

For an entry level kit, this thing rocks. I'm from the old siphon feed paint gun days and changed over to HVLP a couple years ago when I got back into painting. Problem was, the guns I got were really crappy designs and builds - unbeknownst to me. I was having one heck of a time laying down clears, especially satin and flat. Some of my larger metal flakes were a bit wonky too. On a whim, I decided to get these and see what happened. My old siphon was a DeVilbiss, so I figured I'd give them a go. Man am I glad I did. Talk about a world of difference. I've put down some pearls, color flake clear and satin clear that came out perfect. Talk about making an old fart that was out of practice look good. My base coats even look better now. I don't know if these would hold up to professional use on a daily basis. But, for doing a few bikes or cars a year, these will do it.

This is only my second HVLP gun ever...but i decided to upgrade from the HF purple guns. The kit is really nice, and out of the box everything looks and feels high quality. Instructions are clear and simple, and disassembly for cleaning was a breeze. Adjustments work well, if not a little too sensitive...but it is easy to find your pattern and flow. The only drawback I had was the gun uses 13 cfm, which had me waiting for my compressor to catch up a lot. But man does it paint well....it looks so nice my wife probly thinks someone else did it.

Bought an additional 2.2 tip for it and it doesn't fit it when it said it fits all. No 2.2 tip availabile so the spray gun is worthless. Waste of money!

Great sprayer, although there are a couple cleaning tools in the kit that are almost useless.
