This is. A great sub for the price. It's a tad boomy on some things, but overall sounds great for the money.

Had a Bic F12 sub that had a capacitor short out. This sub replaced that, and it sounds just as good if not better.

I was on the fence between this sub and the Klipsch 12 inch sub. I went with the positive reviews on this one, and I was rewarded. This is definitely a great sub. Mine is in a living room with a two-story high ceiling, and it has no problem filling the room without sounding boomy. I would definitely buy this one again.

Alright, so I got this in 2013. I am writing this review in 2021 because this thing still chugs along. This thing has been plugged in and turned on for the past 8 years of my life. The auto on function needs a stronger signal to activate than I would like. Hence the reason it has been turned on for 8 years. This is a boomy subwoofer. If you aren't running other subwoofers to hit higher hz low frequencies more accurately you're probably gonna have a bad time.I have used this as a bass amp for a bassist who forgot his own rig to a show before and it performed adequately. All in all i got this for 120 bucks in 2013 and if you're going for a loud sound system this is the way to go. If you're trying to build something more fine tuned I'd stay away. But for 120 bucks it was a pretty easy choice. In conclusion, if you dont know a whole lot about sound and what you want it to sound like this sub is going to be great for you. It is heavy. And you need to be at the sub itself to change its setting compared to your whole system.

I'm very happy to say, thus far I'm very pleased with the bass this puts out. Works amazing for movies and games which was my 1 concern over music which also sounds amazing as well.. I will very likely buy 1 more to complete my multi sub home theater I'm building in basement. Hopefully I don't disturb the wife too much. Lol.

Ordered this from parts express 6 years ago and it's held up very nicely so far as an addition to the studio monitors for my PC. Sounds great, way louder than I'll ever need it to be, no rattles, and has all of the inputs I need. Couldn't recommend this enough. Also makes a nice little table when necessary.

I sold high-end audio for many years and been an audiophile for many more. I have used this Dayton subwoofer in one room of my house for about two years now and have no complaints. It is surprisingly tight and accurate, more so than most 12 subwoofers, certainly more so than any approaching the low price of this sub. When called upon it can produce pounding bass in home-theater use, though not as much as some more expensive subs this size. But at this price, you can buy two for less than the price of one of those!
