This exciter\'s small size enables audio reproduction in places never imagined: toys, monitors, cabinet doors... even windows!A neodymium magnet is employed to create maximum magnetic flux around the proprietary voice coil for increased sensitivity when compared to similar sized exciters. In turn, this reduces power requirements and makes it possible to use very small audio amplifiers, without sacrificing total output. The 1\" voice coil allows for more input power for higher output applications while maintaining a slim-line form factor. To ensure maximum acoustic energy transfer between the transducer and the surface to which it is attached, 3M VHB (Very High Bond) adhesive is pre-applied... just peel and stick! Two PCB solder points keep installation and wiring as compact as possible.Note: An exciter\'s frequency response and sensitivity are completely dependent on the exciter\'s designated surface. Thinner, smaller materials will tend to be louder and create a mid/tweeter response. Thicker, larger materials (with multiple exciters) will be slightly quieter but result in a more full-range sound.Specifications: Power handling: 10 watts RMS VCdia: 25 mm Nominal impedance: 4 ohms Re: 3.6 ohms Le: 0.07 mH Fs (uncoupled): 306 Hz Dimensions: 1.89\" (48 mm) dia. x 0.59\" (15 mm) H Adhesive dimensions: 1.06\" (27 mm) outside diameter Weight: 74.6 grams. To learn more about Dayton Audio Exciters, and for help on which Exciter is right for you, check out .Product Details BrandDayton Audio ModelDAEX25CT-4 Part Number295-220 UPC848791000973 Unit of MeasureEach Weight0.22 Product Specifications ApplicationFull-Range Exciter Power Handling (RMS)10 Watts Impedance4Ω 5473447 848791000973 0.2400lbs 0.00 0.00 0.00

I don't know if I'll ever stop experimenting with these things. They sound great, and I imagine you could make a chladni plate if you wanted to.

Works fine but polarity marking should be on the backside. It's on the front side now and once you mount it you can't see it.

These things are amazing. So cool how this can make almost anything into a speaker. You can make a whole wall a speaker. Glad I got these.

Just installed as replacements for my atgames legends pinball after the original exciters blew after a month of use. These are definitely an upgrade and a better option in my opinion then the other ones people are using for this purpose, although slightly more expensive. Specs are closer to the original with an upgrade to 10 watts over the 3 watts on the cheap ones that come with the legends pinball. 4 ohms match the stock exciter and no extra amp is required to drive them, use the existing wiring.

This does what it is supposed to do and seems well built. I wish I had purchased one with more wattage however. my bad.

I'm in love with sound exciters. Well not really, but as somebody who has recently gotten involved in modding costumes, these are so nice compared to standard speakers which are easily muffled by fabric or require directionality for proper projection. As long as you have a solid surface somewhere in the costume, you can use these to create sound without having to hide the speaker grills. I'm using this exciter inside a Darth Vader chest box to project his famous breathing sound; it works well.

Dayton Audio DAEX25CT-4 Coin Type 25mm Exciter 10W 4 Ohm

Dayton Audio's 25 mm DAEX25CT-4 coin type exciter features the same ability to turn nearly any surface into a speaker as other exciters and tactile transducers, only in a more compact package for working with smaller surfaces.
