After many request to acquire some oriental art work we have found four pieces that fill the bill. This faux ivory buffalo is just the right size for a paperweight or attention demanding decor piece.
Water buffalos were, and still are, an important part of Chinese life. In rural communities they are use for transportation (pulling carts loaded with people or farm produce, working the patties). In the past everything was used from the buffalo - milk, meat, leather and all just as the American Indians used our buffalo.
The buffalo figures today represent the coming of Spring and a new beginning. This faux ivory buffalo is sitting on a pile of money---no use starting-out broke.
At 3 3/8 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide by 2 inches high, and made with an antique ivory resin this figure is perfect for shelves or a desk.
