Have tried almost everything for my foot drop. Dr prescribed afos are stiff and I can only use only certain shoes with it. The only gripe I have is that it slips down the back and hurts the back of my ankle. But I do love the fact that the tension is adjustable.

My husband's home Physical Therapist recommended this. His stroke affected his right arm and leg. It made such a difference in pulling up his right foot when walking with his walker. He is even able to put it on himself. We passed on the info about it with his outpatient Physical Therapist when she saw it, too.

Used it walking and hiking on tour of Iceland. Easily unclips while on bus - or keep it clipped for the next hike - it is comfortable. I did not use the metal eyelet clips. Instead, I clipped the bungee just to the shoelaces of the hiking boots or sneakers and that worked very well; it did not pull the shoe too tightly or hurt the toes (as others commented). Stores easily in backpack. Wish the bungee cords were longer to take advantage of the adjustment loops - but selecting the shoelaces sufficed for adjustment. For me, I expect this will be a permanent replacement of the much more expensive carbon fiber AFOs.

I bought these to prevent my toes from dragging during my morning walks, thus avoiding tripping and falling flat on my face. They do that job very well. Had I bought these several years ago, I wouldnt have the scars that cover my forearms now.
