These taste the way I remember old fashioned root beer barrels tasting when I was a kid thirty-five years ago or so. They almost have a hint more spice than a standard root beer barrel. It might be sarsaparilla, it might be licorice, it might be something else entirely, I'm not sure, but to me, that's what gives it that old fashioned flavor. My daughter didn't like these at all, but my son and I both prefer these over today's root beer barrels you can pick up anywhere. They are a bit less sweet, but I like that about them.

It's like I said in the title. Candy is the exact same as you might remember from your childhood. The most delicious rootbeer candy there is. Root beer barrels don't hold a candle to it, and it's price per oz is less than the smaller paper claey's candy packages.

These are lovely, just wish they were a little more sour. But they are still very good. At first it's not that flavorful but the flavor builds As you eat them.

Love love love can I say love?! This hard candy, absolutely addicting. Great for anyone that suffers from a dry throat. I first say these in the Christmas Tree Store Claeys hard candies. Bought a few bags. And went back for more. 3rd time couldn't find so researched and found a 2 lb bag. I love them. I also tried the watermelon good too. Next I'll try the black licorce flavor. I am hooked!
