I fully expected this to taste different than when my Mother would make it many years ago. I was surprised to see that this is made with cheddar cheese. Mom never used any cheese in her chipped beef cream sauce, so the taste was much different than what I was hoping for. I also expected it to be too salty, it wasn't for me. There was, however, an after taste I wasn't fond of. Probably the cheese. I would eat this again, (on toast) but it isn't something I would have a big hunger for. Average taste, the sauce was the perfect thickness and there was plenty of meat in there.
