I bought these steel toes after I ran through the Skechers Canktons in only like 3 months. These are somewhat like a skate shoe and can be tied really loose and still stay on making them very casual feeling and comfortable. Definitely not super light, but not heavy either. These were very stiff at first and gave me a lot of problems rubbing my achilles raw for about a week, then once the stiff leather loosened up that problem went away entirely. I also had to replace the inserts after 2 or 3 weeks because they were average, I wanted something more comfortable. After doing that, these shoes were very comfortable for about 1 year of use, 5 8 hr days per week working in a high paced warehouse. Just recently I noticed that the inside of the shoes were becoming very beat up and I began having issues with my big toe and outer pinky joint rubbing against the inside of the shoes, causing serious discomfort. I think this was more to do with this pair being extremely beat up, but in retrospect going up a half size probably would've helped prevent that because it seems to be my toes jamming up into the toe box. I just upgraded to the Reebok Sublite since they're the same price at the moment, but these Caterpillar steel toes really worked well for about a year, they're generally very comfortable, and if you can get them for less than 80, they're a steal.
