The resistance (Ohms) between the two differ and as resistance in the cable increases the power delivered to the speaker is reduced. The sound will be lower and can lose some of its quality. If copper\'s conductivity, due to resistance, is rated at 100% then aluminum\'s conductivity would be rated at 61%. I ran wire through my attic for patio and garage. Needed 14 gauge for long runs unde, but undet 100 ft. Happy with the quality, it is all copper wire. It has a covering around the 2 conductors that is not fused, like some are. That made it more flexible and easier to strip. I had no stripping issues on the conductors. Soomeone else mentioned the strand count, I didn't count them but seemed adequate. In the age of China chickens, this stuff looked good. I would highly recommend this stuff. The box looked different but was easy to dispense with tangling which is nice with 500 ft of wire.

I used this 14/2 wire coupled with the matching 14/4 wire in my entire house. Also used to wire stand alone 5.1 and 7.1 systems including a Bose acoustimass 15 system. Sound is excellent throughout. Longest runs are up to 100' with no noticeable loss in sound quality. Easy to pull through. There is an internal strand which I believe is designed to supply pull strength versus adding tensile damage to the wires as they are pulled. I highly recommend this product and the 14/4 wire that matches.

I ran wire through my attic for patio and garage. Needed 14 gauge for long runs unde, but undet 100 ft. Happy with the quality, it is all copper wire. It has a covering around the 2 conductors that is not fused, like some are. That made it more flexible and easier to strip. I had no stripping issues on the conductors. Soomeone else mentioned the strand count, I didn't count them but seemed adequate. In the age of China chickens, this stuff looked good. I would highly recommend this stuff. The box looked different but was easy to dispense with tangling which is nice with 500 ft of wire.
