Too much squeeze here which becomes a frustration issue during a workout. Fortunately, I really got these for their 1-1/4-pound weight, a really important number for this novice baby-stepping his strength up a notch at a time, especially my overhead press. Perhaps they'll squeeze easier with more break-in...js

Maybe I'm getting old but these seem exceptionally tight, maybe too tight. I'm sure they will wear-in a little over time. They are certainly effective securing plates, I can't imagine them moving at all under normal circumstances.

have to squeeze pretty hard cos of my weak sauce, makes it somewhat difficult and time consuming to get on and off barbell between sets, end up using some generic lockjaw type collars instead

The springs are very tight and the grip is quite wide. I have just unpacked them and tried them out, so maybe they will loosen up after some use. It is difficult to put these on with one hand and slide them on as the handles are so far apart and the springs are so rigid it takes a decent amount of force squeeze the handles together to open the spring to slide them on the 2 inch barbell/dumbbells.

Like others have said these are super tight. They fit but you have to squeeze really hard.

Doesn't fit gold's gym bar and the handles are so short and small, I can barely get a grip on them to squeeze together.

They definitely do their job, but it is really difficult to put them on a 2 inch barbell.

Worked like a charm, unfortunately it didn't fit on the bar at the gym I was trying to use it on.

These collars, while they do grip the ends of the weight bar, take a LOT of force to open up and some of the chrome on the inside of them flaked off when I put them on my CAP Barbell Olympic weight bar. They work, but the product is relatively low in quality. I'm not going to return them because they work. But I will probably buy something easier to get on and off the bar without my having to use both hands and which, hopefully, won't leave flakes of chrome on the floor when I attach them to the bar.

I don't know if the chrome flakes are from between the loops of steel or if it is from the inner surface of the loops. I haven't taken them off to examine them (pointless, since they work). I really expected better quality from CAP Barbell on these.

It would have been better to have them made of stainless steel than to have chrome plating on them. Especially since the chrome plating doesn't seem to be well attached to the steel.

They're so tight that they're a pain in the butt to install/remove. Perhaps they would loosen up over time but I decided to buy some quick release snap-latch style clamps and I love them so much that I stopped using these altogether.

Sometimes I have a lot of trouble trying to get these guys onto my barbell.
They do the job, but if I'd known, I would have bought a different pair of clips.

They do a great job of holding the weights in place for safety.

These were fine for what they are. They'll keep the weights on. They otherwise are horrible in the standard way that all spring clips are horrible. I have since bought some muscle clamps and will never go back to using these.

Price is good- but I recommend the plastic snap-locking ones
