I would definitely recommend getting chemipure elite over this since it keeps alot more things in balance than the i guess regular chemipure that this is. Bought it on accident but still ended up using it and having no problems in my aquarium.

the product is good in the filter canister for about 6 months. it is great also for fresh water fish tanks, but mainly to keep salt water marine life tanks.

Use this product for both my tropical and african mbuna cichlid tanks - keeps water crystal clear and lasts longer than regular charcoal media. I keep in my overstocked cichlid tank for 4 months and 6 months in my tropical tank - works great - hasn't harmed any of my fish - remember you still need to perform routine water changes - but this product is a great assist to keeping water quality balanced - recommend this product.

Our water has lots of problems like most places out West, so we have an R.O. system, but the PH is still not right unless I use Chemi-Pure in my filter instead of plain charcoal. I can tell the difference in fish behavior! They are much peppier when I use this in the filter, no hole-in-the-head disease, and clearer water, too!

Give this filter a try if your having troubles with cloudy water. Really made a difference in a matter of a few days one we started using it in our tanks. Great buy for the money!

I've used this product for more than six years. It was originally recommended to me by an aquarium store employee. My salt water aquarium, which I regularly maintain (water changes, cleaning, etc.) is always crystal clear, and I attribute some of that to this product. Anytime we have guests (even repeats), we always get compliments on the clarity of the tank. There may be cheaper alternatives as I have read, but this is easy to useits already bagged and ready to go. Remove from container, rinse a bit under water, and place in the tank. I have an acrylic Sea Clear tank, which has a tray in the back for a product of this type. Give it a try!

My local fish stores swears by this - I don't have a reef tank but a freshwater tank. Fits in my Eheim Canister filter (I have the small Pro3) alongside the biomedia. I run a pretty intense tank with lots of fertilization, high light, CO2, lots of food (many plecos) and a fair amount of mulm and organic debris from the large number of live plants. This helps keep my water clear and in balance. I can't say exactly how much this contributes to the health of my tank but I will continue to use it as a safety net. I also ran Purigen for a while but it was getting expensive given the size of my tank, so I'm saving the Purigen for my smaller tanks that also have a discoloration issue (from the driftwood) and instead use Chemi-Pure in my larger display tank.
