This ladder fell apart and resulted in a few tears in my new liner. After we made adjustments it was fine.

The ladder is easy to install. It is very sturdy except for the top of the ladder. It is plastic with screws into the hand supports and the ladder frame. It would hasve been better of those areas were reinforce3d with thicker plastic.

It does not take up as much space in the pool as our old stair-step ladder.

Large pool ladder. Very easy to put together. Like the way it passes to the deck very sturdy.

I read reviews that said that this was hard to assemble. I feel sorry for them. This went together easy-peasy. I used pea gravel instead of sand and it works great. The wife had a knee replacement in the spring and appreciated the extra stability this ladder gave when getting in and out of the pool.

As many others have stated, the directions could've been better, but if you take your time and look at the photos, you'll be fine. I did not add sand to the uprights, as I don't want to take any chances of it escaping into my pool, because it's impossible to get it out of there if that happens. I did fill them with water and used a sandbag attached to the backside of the ladder on the swim barrier to anchor it down so it didn't float. Until I got that bag, I sat an old paint can filled with rocks on the top to keep it from floating up. If you know anything at all about science and pool ladders, they all float a bit unless secured somehow. Those is not a new thing. Overall, compared to the old ladder I had that was metal and plastic and not very stable, this one is so much widet and more stable. It made it much easier for my older relatives visiting from out of town to get in and out with ease. One other note, I have a 54 deep pool and the deck up to it is EXACTLY the same height as the pool rail, but I had to cut the pieces that go into the ladder and then into the brackets that get screwed down or the ladder would never have reached the ground inside the pool.

After reading the reviews I was a little nervous to purchase but we desperately needed new stairs for our pool and for them to arrive before July 4th.I decided to give them a try and was thinking worst case I can return them. I put them together myself, based on the reviews I didn't even read the instructions, I pulled up the YouTube video and just followed that. Very happy with these steps.

Very easy to put together. Very stable. Does not shake. Did have to customize the part that attaches to the deck A little bit. We wanted the platform to end on the deck so we had to shorten up the pieces that fit into the ones that are screwed down. And of course we screwed everything in for stability, even the pieces that did not say they needed to be.

Directions say to fill the ladder with sand but there are pre made holes for the water to go into so the sand just pours out! Also have to have access to a saw or sharp cutting tool to make ladder fit your pool. Do not recommend. Not great directions or design.

we needed another set of steps for the pool. This set is almost the same as the 1 we already have.

I don't even know where to begin. The instructions are flat-out terrible, and not intuitive. If you can cobble them together to set up this ladder, you end up with a ladder that essentially snaps together and comes apart VERY easily, usually while you're on it, which is less than ideal. There are no marked places for screws, so that's choose your own adventure. The pieces that support the steps are tiny nubs that are 1/2 AT BEST. Imagine the stair treads in your house weren't built on a frame, but instead rested on four tiny smooth plastic pieces sticking out from the sides. Now add water. There you go, now you have the dangerous, poorly-engineered pool steps being sold here. And that's if the steps didn't randomly float off of the ladder, which they do all the time, since there is no way to actually secure them TO the ladder unless you, again, choose your own screw hole adventure. I honestly don't know who this ladder worked for, either tiny children who put almost no weight on it, or people who modified it in some way not being disclosed in the reviews. It's horrible. You would be better off with a step ladder, which I'm actually using until a better ladder arrives.
