Target SweepsTM are used for several drills. Use
the Target Sweeps to give the athlete a specific
area to attack each hurdle with a lead leg target,
trail leg target or one for each leg. Target Sweeps
can also be used where you intend the athlete to
feel feedback because they should encounter
contact with the sweep -- or they can be used
where you want the athlete to avoid an area of
the hurdle (like the inside edge on the curve to
prevent hooking) in which case the athlete should
not encounter any contact with the Target Sweep.
Target Sweeps on each side of the hurdle promotes
"square and center" attack. Two sweeps per set.
