Wanted a replacement base for my router. I have a plunge and fixed base for my porter cable router. To use a different base it is necessary to switch the plastic base. I wanted to use a bit that was wider than the opening in the original base, hence this purchase. I probably could have made one but for the price it wasn't worth the hassle. Holes lined up perfectly.
