I wear 10.5 in every shoe with somewhat wide feet. 9W fit me perfectly. Hopefully this helps some of you trying to decide on size.

Purchased this pair of boots 6 years ago. They haven been through the desert, rivers/streams(I had water proofed them), sulfur pits of Bauer(Utah), Red Hills of St George(Utah), up and down steep/rocky mountains, been caked in mud, covered in horse poop, through sheet metal, automotive junkyards, floors covered in nails in a construction area. The material on the bottom of the boot is very strong as I've broke stomped things like pallets and the backs of nails with them and don't even feel it.The toe area has a nice cushion. The ankle support is nice. Also, I would like to add that the only things I've had to do was switch out the insoles because the factory ones aren't that comfortable for 12hr shifts. They're still holding up and if they ever give out than I will purchase another pair.I am unsure what others have done to make the sole Crack or the material tear because it's high-grade material and I HIGHLY recommend buying a pair of these.Don't settle for a knockoff brand claiming to be durable. This is my review and after 6 years and they do not show even a hint of breaking apart after all I've done in them, what other convincing do you need?

The boot is a bit roomy. Next time I'll buy a half size smaller. Wears like iron and very comfortable.

I was issued a pair of these in Iraq and absolutely loved them. They were light weight and the most comfortable boots ever. This pair was not the same. They are quite a but heavier and much more stiff. I still like this pair, but definitely not the same as the old ones. Make sure you buy a full size smaller than you normal shoe size.

These are the most comfortable work boot I have ever had. Only downside is the sole cracks before the rest of the boot is worn out.

On a Brannock shoe device (went to a boot store, used theirs), my foot measures to size 11.25 (just between 11 and 11.5). My foot width as measured is a B width. In this particular boot I ordered a 10.0 Narrow. The fit is exactly right for my foot when wearing Thorlo Light Hiker socks.Inside the boot I have 1/2 thumbs width between the end of my toe and the end of the boot. The toe box is slightly roomy in the top (toes can move up and down quite easily). Through the sides of the toe box both sides of my toes are in full contact with the boot interior. The width across the arch is exactly right for my as-measured B width foot, the entire foot is in contact with the boot across the arch and there is no extra width inside the boot. There is a small amount of arch support in the boot, and the supplied insole is only only for cushion (it is a significant amount of cushion!), no additional arch support is given.I require additional arch support in my shoes, same for these boots (my arches are considered medium profile by insole manufacturers). I removed the supplied insoles and did a drop-in replacement with Superfeet Carbon insoles, size E (Mens 9.5-11). These Superfeet insoles are the same length and width as the supplied insole, so the insoles are a no-modification-required swap. However the Superfeet insoles are not as thick (nor as cushioned) as the supplied insole; and putting the supplied insole on top of the Superfeet insole left not enough height for my toes in the toe box.My heel fits snugly in the boot, and does not wiggle/move up and down when I walk. Nor does my foot slide forward at all, so my toes never bump the end of the toe box. This is after pulling the laces quite tight; however the sides of the boots do not gather up and touch. When laced this way, my entire foot is fully encased in the boot, with the aforementioned room to wiggle my toes up and down (and just barely side to side, but not enough to cause blisters with the socks I'm wearing.)A note on ankle support: With the boot top being mostly 1000-D Nylon, there is little additional ankle support. It is comparable to that provided by 1/4-height hiking boots. Also, the toe of the boot is almost as solid as a Composition Toe (the boot is not listed as having a Composition Toe). So your toes will be protected from forward impacts with rocks or anything else. Your toes are also safe from being crushed if you kneel in the boots, as the toe box does not collapse like a typical soft-toe boot will do.Breaking in the boots: To be determined. I'll update this review after I have the boots broken in.And the only reason for 4 stars, is so this review wouldn't be lost in the mass of generic 5 star reviews! These boots are fully 5 stars.Edited 12/27/2020: I switched insoles, I'm now using Superfeet Trailblazer Comfort Insoles, size E (Mens 9.5-11), the ones with the green-colored foot beds. These were also a direct drop-in replacement like the Superfeet Carbon's. These insoles are thicker and more padded than the Carbon's, have more arch support, and have a deeper heel cup. They also claim to conform to your feet after wearing them for a while. With these insoles my toes still have some room to wiggle up and down, they are not crammed against the top of the boot. The boots still aren't completely broken in, I'll continue the process with these new insoles.Edited 1/07/2021:Along with the new insoles, the boots have now been broken in. The insoles make the boot very comfortable to wear both for walking and standing. Breaking in the boots has taken some 21 days of everyday use, though only about 4 - 6 hrs per day. Just wearing the boots as everyday footwear (walking, running, standing) is what it has taken. No blisters during the break-in with the Thorlo socks I wear; some hot spots on my arch and side of my little toe on both feet, however. But all that is now gone.

Sizing

All of our boots are available in Men's Regular (R) and Wide (W) Widths, with some styles offering Narrow (N) and Extra Wide (XW) widths as well. Since sizes & widths vary among boot styles, please check individual boot styles for available sizes & widths.

Unfortunately, not all boot brands fit the same. For this reason, we would like to offer a few sizing tips that will help you get a better BELLEVILLE fit:

  • CHECK YOUR SIZE:Belleville boots are about 1 to 1½ full sizes larger in fit than your normal shoe size when measuring on a standard Brannock shoe device. The difference depends on the type of boot you choose: soft toe versus safety toe, hot weather versus insulated or waterproof, etc.

  • SIZING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE MINI-MiL (TR101, TR102, TR103) MINIMALIST BOOTS:Due to the wider shape of the toe box, we have found that the MINI-MiL® tends to run on the small/short side. For this reason, we recommend customers order a half size up from your normal shoe size. For instance, if you wear a size 10, then we would recommend you order a 10.5 in the MINI-MiL®.

  • GET SOME BOOT SOCKS:Try on the boots with a pair of boot socks that you will normally wear with the boots.

  • PLACE & LACE:It is important that your foot is properly placed inside the boots when selecting a size. Proper foot placement requires that the lace is drawn snug at the bottom of the lacing system. This will prevent your foot from sliding forward too far and keep your heel properly placed against the back of the boot. To improve the fit of the boot, try loosening or tightening the laces at different parts of the boot until you get the perfect fit.

  • CHECK THE LENGTH:Length-wise, when your heel is placed against the back of the boot, you should have a slight amount of room in the front of the boots to wiggle your toes.

  • CHECK THE WIDTH:Width-wise, your boots should feel a little snug, but not tight.

  • TAKE A STROLL:Walk around to see how the boots feel. Make sure your heel stays in place and not sliding up and down (this can cause blisters).

WOMEN'S SIZES

Belleville does offer many boot styles that are specifically manufactured for women. All Belleville style numbers that begin with an "F" indicate a boot specifically designed and sized for women. If a particular style of boot is not available in women's sizes, we recommend ordering the boot 2 full sizes smaller.
