Behlen P3RED Plastic Utility Pan - 3 Gallon - Red - Each, Price/Each

I live over a mile high, here on the front range of Colorado. My yard doesn't have much soil, as the back yard is on a cliff of sorts, with lots of boulders and rocks. It's dry here, with very low humidity. This is my second year of container gardening, and I have been through a lot of various styles and sizes of drip pans. As much as I don't like the price tag for one of these, it is my favorite because 1) I like the color! 2) it's deep, so it will hold the water in for a day or two before it all dries up. 3) I can just put water in the pan, and avoid getting my tomato leaves wet, and use less water if I was watering the entire deck--when I only needed to revive my thirsty plants. You may think I would have a mosquito problem with the excess water, but it evaporates so quickly where I live that it's not a problem. I use a lot of felt' type of pots too, that dry out quickly and these are perfect for bottom watering--watering only what need. Not having the sprinkler on for hours at a time. Love these pans! You can see in the photos some of my trial and error pans that are all dried out, when I watered them all yesterday. In this 90 heat, my tomatoes should never be dying of thirst after a day of watering with a traditional sprinkler.

This pan is as ordered but I was hoping for the flexible feed pans.

I'm using this in the hidden litter box planter. So far, so good. It's a good fit.
